What is a Professional Organizer?
A Professional Organizer is someone who is passionate about helping people de-clutter and get organized.  Many Professional Organizers specialize in a wide range of areas related to organization so make sure you choose one that works with your specific needs.  It is important to choose a Professional Organizer that is a member of one or more Professional Organizing Associations.  Professional Organizers receive training in the basics as well as receive continuously training and information in specialized areas of organizing if we choose, so we can offer more services to our community. 

Isn’t organizing something I should be able to handle on my own?
Have you bought organizing bins and trays, but you haven’t used them yet?  Have you organized a room in your home, only to find in a couple months you’re back to a mess?  Most people have good intentions to get organized, but they experience difficulty finishing the project or staying organized.  That’s where a Professional Organizer can help!  They bring their knowledge and experiences of best practices that have improved other people’s lives.  They are there to help, guide, educate, and motivate you as you organize your world. 

I am embarrassed to ask for help.  I don’t want you to see my big mess.
It’s all about YOU!  Getting organized can make such a huge difference in your life.  Don’t let your stuff get in the way of asking for help.  Professional Organizers are professionals and will keep your situation confidential.  They have helped many people in all different situations and can help you achieve your dream of an organized home or office.  

Is hiring an organizer expensive?
If you think about the money spent on items that you know you already have somewhere.  Then add the amount of hours each week you spend looking for items.  Deciding to hire a Professional Organizer may be one of the best investments of your time and money you will ever make!  There are so many positive returns on your investment; less stress, more time, more space and better health….just to name a few!  

Are you going to make me get rid of my things?
I wouldn’t dream of doing that!  I will never make you purge items that are meaningful or useful to you.  However, as a Professional Organizer I will help you make informed decisions by discussing the reasons why you want to keep your items.  I will offer suggestions and even give you a few ideas on how to store or display your items so they have their own special space. If there are items that you no longer need, I help you find the perfect home for them.  There are many associations that accept donations that in-turn help other people in our area. 

What do I need to do before you arrive?
Please don’t clean or straighten up anything.  The Professional Organizer will better understand your situation if they can see exactly what is happening in your space.  Please don’t buy any organizing products either.  We can offer recommendations after we begin the project. 

How long will it take to get organized?
Well, that depends on your commitment you make to getting organized.  However long it takes, it will be much faster than if you try to do it yourself! 

How do accept payment?
Top To Bottom Organizing does not currently accept credit cards.  Payment is requested at the end of each session in cash or personal/business cheque. 

Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes, any changes to a scheduled appointment must be made no less than 48 hours prior to the date scheduled.  Every effort will be made to honour reasonable requests for re-scheduling.  Cancellation of a scheduled date with less than 48 hours notice will be billed 50% of the agreed upon rate and will be due upon cancellation.  Please let me know if it is an emergency as this fee may be waived.  I am committed to keeping our appointments, and I thank you for your commitment. 

Do you have a guarantee?
I always endeavour to provide complete satisfaction and adhere to the Professional Organizers in Canada Code of Ethics.  I use creative and innovative solutions to meet your needs.  If, on the completion time of each organizing session, you feel that you didn’t receive what was agreed, I will be happy to work with you at no additional charge, to achieve the session goals.
